Do you need food?

At House of Prayer, we take seriously Jesus’ command to “Feed My Sheep (John 21:15-19).” Currently, we live that out in two ways, our Food Pantry and our Cooking Club ministry. Please also check out our new ministry called Manna. It is a weekly meal for the community.

Food Pantry

We support an active Food Pantry at House of Prayer. The Food Pantry is open each Wednesday from 10am-noon. The Food Pantry is available by appointment only. You may call the office (724-375-2033) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday between 9am-noon. The secretary will work with you so that we can have your food prepared to be picked up on Wednesday.

Our food pantry is supported largely by the generosity of the House of Prayer community. We are also fortunate to receive food from area churches, scouting groups, and other charitable groups. If you are able to contribute to the Food Pantry, we would greatly appreciate it! And of course, we are always looking for volunteers to help out!!!!

Cooking Club

Once a month, a group of people from the House of Prayer community get together and make food. The food is packaged for family units (singles, couples, families). We then store this food at the church and make it available for people who need it. People who are sick. People who have lost loved ones. People who are really busy. We even take food to some of our friends who can’t really leave their homes any longer.

If you know of someone who needs some food, or if you would like to donate some ingredients for our future efforts, call the church office and we will work with you (724-375-2033). And of course, we are always looking for volunteers to help out!!!!
